Dear Diary,
The darkness of my room is beautiful and terrifying at the same time, the color red running through my veins. Here I am, alone, confiding in you once again.
I sat in the coffee shop today. He was there, across the room. I couldn't help but stare at him; dark hair, glowing skin from a day in the sun and eyes that could pierce through my soul - if I had one.
Quietly I was there in the corner, pretending to drink the coffee I ordered, and holding a book I would never read. It was as if he moved in slow motion, a smile coming across his face as his friends said something unintelligent. I wondered what he would think of me if he really knew my secrets, the ones that only you, my faithful diary, know.
His eyes found me staring at him. I jumped because I was so focused and wasn't expecting him to look, my eyes quickly found my book, glancing up every now and then. He got up from his table of friends and walked over to me, I pretended not to notice. He sat down across from me, hands folded as he leaned onto the table, a slight smirk on his face.
"Hi, Jason." I said with a sheepish grin, putting my book down.
"Ivy, why didn't you just come over and hang out?" He asked.
"Oh, it just looked like you were busy with your friends, I didn't want to interrupt." But the truth my faithful friend, is that it was bright over by the window with the sunlight glaring in and I wanted to admire him from afar.
"You know, we are friends, you don't have to always sit so far away." as he said that Rose walked through the door, his girlfriend.
Her looks changed based on her mood, one day she would be a blonde, the next a brunette and the day after a head full of dark black curls. Today she had black hair, red lipstick, and wonderful high heels. Oh if only I could stand to wear them longer than 5 minutes, I might be found so much more appealing by the normal human standards.
"Well Ivy, it was nice talking to you! Feel free to just come over if you want, you don't have to be alone you know." he said as he stood up walking over to her. What did he even see in her? She was so wrong for him, but only I seemed to notice. She doesn't even like him, she just knows that he'll stick around because that's how he is. Faithful.
Well diary, it's late, and it's dark I have big plans tonight. Until next time your faithful friend,
Ivy
